Naegleria monitoring cell finds no chlorine in water of Karachi

The Naegleria Fowleri Monitoring Cell Tuesday said 63 water samples taken from five different towns of Karachi found no chlorine at all, putting millions of people using the KWSB supply at risk of contracting amoebic meningitis.


The Sindh Health Minister Dr. Sagheer Ahmed had directed the KWSB to increase the quantity of chlorine in water supply by 5 ppm (parts per million) while directing the authorities to analyse samples from different towns on a daily
